OUR STORY

  • Sum Design Studio is a Melbourne-based creative collaborative studio, specialising in architectural visualisation.

We are a team of highly skilled designer with over a decade of expertise in the architectural industry, dedicated to crafting innovative and sophisticated solutions that elevate the built environment.

  • We see 3D visualisation as a craft of the 21st century, where it remains as an artistic process, carefully considered in the making, blending in photography, imagination and realism to create a narrative captured in high quality digital imagery.

What lies in the core of our studio is our belief that behind every design piece - lies various individuals with a multitude of ideas, skills and craft. It is the coming together of all these elements, intertwined and connected, that makes a truly impactful and meaningful outcome. Therefore, we believe in close collaborations with our clients, consultants, photographers, all that will truly bring each and every one of our project to life - and we carry this motto with us into our studio name with the word “Sum”.

  • Our studio was created mid-Covid19, where we started to experiment and explore with the power of architectural visualisation, curious about it’s potential to enhance and facilitate the design process - we were surprised, curious, amazed - it turned out to become so much more.

  • What differentiates our work is our highly design-driven process in crafting your work. Reinforced with our team’s backgrounds in architecture and design, we collaborate closely with clients to ensure the architecture and design intent is communicated not only through technical elements of architectural design, but also through the artistic lens of composition, colour, lighting and balance.

  • To our fellow designers, we hope to find opportunities to connect and collaborate, as well as to learn as much as we can from you.

To our fellow non-designers, we hope our collaboration works, and weekly posts on Instagram and on our website inspires you to appreciate architecture and design from different perspectives.
